Our Story

Founded by Barbara and Bill Johnson, Spatula Ministries emerged from their own journey through family crisis. When Barbara found herself "stuck to the ceiling" during times of family trauma, she discovered that a gentle approach – much like a spatula carefully lifting a delicate cookie – was needed to help parents through their darkest moments.

Why a Spatula?

Barbara often said, "When crisis hits, parents often find themselves plastered to the ceiling in shock and grief. They need someone with a spatula of love to gently peel them off."This simple kitchen tool became a powerful metaphor for:
